Abstract
1. The paramagnetic particles formed in the heat treatment of anthracene affect a system with a related structure as a whole, determining a change not only in the chemical reactivity and the optical and photoelectric properties, but also in the crystallization temperature of compounds containing a conjugated system. 2. In compounds containing a conjugated system the degree of supercooling of the melts is not a criterion of their degree of purity. © 1966 Consultants Bureau.
