Abstract
The authors described the syntheses of sulfonium salts and their applications as the latent catalysts to the polymerization of 1-phenyl-4-ethyl-2,6,7-trioxabicyclo left bracket 2. 2. 2 right bracket octane. The structure of the obtained polymers left bracket (a) insoluble polymer in hexane, (b) soluble polymer in hexane right bracket , which were polyether with ester group in the side chain, were confirmed by IR and NMR.
