The copolymerization of N‐vinyl carbazole with methyl methacrylate and styrene, respectively, was studied. 1H‐NMR spectra and elemental analysis were used to establish the composition of the copolymers. The composition data confirmed that solution radical copolymerization follows quite well the simple terminal copolymerization model. © 1991 Akademie Verlag GmbH, Berlin
