Abstract
Different Integrated Pest Management practices alongwith synthetic insecticides were evaluated against bollworms on cotton. The application of fenvalerate alternated with neem seed extract plus two dustings of 2% methyl parathion dust at bolling stage successfully checked the incidence of bollworm complex in cotton crop. The second alternative was the use of endosulfan followed by monocrotophos plus two sprays of fenvalerate at the boiling stage. Similarly, the cultural practice of intercropping of cotton with onion plus two sprays of fenvalerate at the bolling stage could be used with advantage, for the successful management of bollworm complex in cotton.
