A field experiment was conducted at Agriculture Research station, Sriganganagar, Rajasthan during Kharif-2006-07 to find out the bio-efficacy of Rimon (Novaluron 10 EC) against bollworms complex &Spodoptera spp. on cotton in comparison to conventional insecticides viz., Endosulfan &Chlorpyriphos. The experiment was laid out in Randomized Block Design with 6 treatments including untreated check, replicated three times. The studies revealed that the Novaluron 10 EC (Rimon)-1.0ml/lit of water offered better protection to cotton against bollworms damage over conventional insecticides. The highest seed cotton yield was also recorded in the same treatment. The phytotoxic effects on crop could not be observed during the experimental period. It was also observed that Rimon is relatively safe to the most important predators viz., Spider, Coccinelids and Chrysoperla sp.
