Abstract
Herein, the rare earth activated zirconium based phosphor synthesized by different methods and it application in display and sensing were reviewed and reported. The comparison in optical properties of CaZrO3, BaZrO3 and SrZrO3 were described in details by several researcher our aim to discuss the potential host and dopants develop for display application device applications such as LED's, PDP's etc. The best method of synthesis for zirconium based phosphor is sol-gel synthesis method reported by researchers. In this review article we compare all the zirconium based phosphors by synthesis, characterization and optical studies for various display applications. (C) 2017 Elsevier GmbH. All rights reserved.
