Abstract
The application of polyurethane and polystyrene foams in interior design were compared. The results show that the compressive strength of both polyurethane and polystyrene foams gradually increase with the increase of density. The compressive strength of polyurethane foam is slightly lower than that of polystyrene foam in same density. The thermal conductivity of polystyrene foam gradually increases, while that of polyurethane foam decreases first and then increases following the increase of density. The thermal conductivity of polyurethane foam is lower than that of polystyrene foam and has obvious advantages in heat preservation when fluorotrichloromethane is used as foaming agent. The thermal insulation property of polyurethane foam is better than that of polystyrene foam under the same water absorbing condition. The simulation results show that polyurethane foam is more energy efficient than polystyrene foam. ©2019, Beijing Yanshan Branch, Assets Management Corporation, SINOPEC. All right
