1. A method was developed for the qualitative and quantitative analyses of a series of cyclic esters by gasliquid chromatography. 2. A linear relation was established between the logarithm of the retained volume and the number of carbon atoms in the series ethylene oxide - tetrahydrofuran - tetrahydropyran - hexamethylene oxide. 3. A linear relation was established between the logarithm of the retained volume and the reciprocal of the absolute temperature for α-methyloxetane, tetrahydrosylvane and α-methyltetrahydropyran. 1963 Consultants Bureau.
