Abstract
1. The solubilities l1 of helium, neon and argon in water, methyl alcohol, ethyl alcohol, acetone, benzene, cyclohexane and cyclohexanol were determined in the temperature interval 15 to 37°. 2. Log l varies linearly with 1/T for the organic solvents, but not for water. 3. In the formula l = aeu/RT, where u is the heat of solution, it is found that for monatomic molecules, diatomic molecules and for carbon dioxide there is an approximate linear relation between log a and u. 1930, American Chemical Society.
