Abstract
Poly(ethylene terephthalate-hexamethylene terephthalate) fibres were characterized by using DTA, DSC and a rheovibron viscoelastometer. Four copolyesters were prepared with different mol% of 1, 6-hexanediol left bracket 2. 5,5. 0,7. 5 and 10 right bracket with respect to ethylene glycol in the initial monomer feed. An increase in hexamethylene content in PET backbone increased the crystallization rate but reduced the crystallite size and overall crystallinity.
