Abstract
In the course of adsorption measurements, the molecular weight distributions of the polymer in the supernatant solution and in the adsorbed layer have been established by means of gel permeation chromatography analysis for the polystyrene/cyclohexane or carbon tetrachloride/amorphous silica systems at 35°C. Significant changes occur in the surface layer during the approach towards equilibrium as well as in the plateau region, displaying a strong preferential adsorption of the longer chains. 1978.
