Abstract
The synthesis and the properties of new liquid crystalline cyclohexene and cyclohexane derivatives and the LC compositions on their base are discussed. The results presented demonstrated that liquid crystalline fluorocyclohexe, or chlorocyclohexane derivatives can be used for the development of liquid crystalline materials for nematic display applications with decreased power consumption, fast response time and other promising parameters. 2002 SPIE · 1605-7422/02/$15.00.
