Abstract
In the review by Jawahar L. Jat and Ganesh Kumar, in Volume 361, Issue 19, 2019, pp 4426–4441 (DOI: 10.1002/adsc.201900392), there were errors in the presentation and text for Scheme 19 and Figure 7 on page 4435. In the text and in Scheme 19, the catalyst salcy-47 is incorrectly defined as [(salcy)Al(THF)2]+[Co(CO)4]− (where salcy=N,N′-bis(3,5-di-tert-butyl-salicylidene)-rac-1,2-cyclohexanediamine. The original catalyst used in the reported work was rac-3,3′′-((1E,1′E)-((1S,2S)-cyclohexane-1,2-diylbis(azanylylidene))bis-(methanylylidene))bis(4′-(tert-butyl)-2′,5,6′-trimethyl-[1,1′-biphenyl]-2-olate)aluminum cobaltate. The mechanism of this reaction involves hydride elimination as shown in Figure 7 which is incorrectly mentioned as ‘hydride-shift’ in the text. In the final step of this catalytic cycle shown in Figure 7, oxygen is not required for the tautomerism of enol to ketone. The authors apologize for these mistakes. 2020 Wiley-VCH Verlag GmbH & Co.
