Abstract
The development of petroleum refining industry is market-driven and oriented. In order to fulfill the market demands, a series of novel technologies have been developed to produce clean fuels and chemical raw materials. There mainly are introduced the clean fuel production technologies like maximum isoparaffin production (MIP), RIPP isomerization and for deolefin and hydrodesulfurization (RIDOS) and RIPP selective hydrodesulfurization (RSDS) for FCC gasoline, RIPP increasing cetane number of diesel fuel by hydrogenation (RICH) and RIPP hydrogenation technology for ULSD production (RTS), the deep residue transformation technologies like RIPP integrated combination process for residue hydroprocessing (RICP), the integration technologies of petroleum refining and petrochemical production like deep catalytic cracking (DCC) and cracking for maximizing ethylene and propylene production (CPP), medium pressure hydro-upgrading (MHUG) and RIPP medium pressure hydrocracking (RMC), and the combination of catalytic technologies like SINOPEC hydrotreating for maximum propylene of FCC process (SHMP). These technologies comprise some new catalytic processes and catalytic materials and show a directive influence of the innovation of catalytic technologies on the progress of petroleum refining technologies. Perspectives of development of catalytic technology are also discussed on the basis of market demands and the development trends of petroleum refining industry.
