Abstract
Wee Yiaw Hin, managing director of Shell Malaysia Exploration & Production (SM-EP) presents his views on the company's involvement in oil and gas exploration activities in the country and its potential plans. He shares his views regarding the country's potential role in the oil and gas exploration industry. He also informed about the role that was to be played by the company in the development of the region. The company emerged as a global group of energy and petrochemical companies with approximately 102,000 employees in more than 100 countries and territories. It was considered as one of the leading companies involved in the exploration and production sector of the country. It operated as production-sharing contractor to Petronas and continued to produce and deliver petroleum to meet the growing demand for energy. The company intended to prospect for more growth, develop its business presence, and develop strong partnerships with key companies around the region.
