Results of the studies, permitting development of improved X-ray fluorescence analyzer on the basis of the 'Bars-1' large-batch analyzer for rapid determination of sulfur content in viscous petroleum products, diesel fuel, residual fuel oil, oils, in particular, are described. Function of device is based on phenomenon of characteristic fluorescence of specimen in question excited by X-ray. The device provides for sulfur content measurement in the range of 0.05-5 % (mass) with the absolute error of 0.005-0.03 %.
