Abstract
A VOC plume in the southwest was evaluated using Geographical Information System Arc View mapping. Trichloroethylene and trichloroethane were the primary source compounds, but several areas along the plume flowpath also had significant hydrocarbons releases. Some of the presentation techniques that were used to represent the entirety of the data are presented as well as an overall picture of the scope and characteristics of the VOC plume. The advantages and disadvantages of re-locating wells were presented. Data classification methods, analysis of well density, and methods for averaging data were also presented.
