Abstract
HEEP COPYRIGHT: BIOL ABS. Trace amounts of As and Sb (which is also a toxic element) were measured in laundry aids by neutron activation analysis (NAA). The results for As by NAA are compared with those obtained by other analytical techniques. The concentrates in the various laundry aids tested ranged from 5 to 51 ppm of As and from 1 to 8 ppm of Sb. Arsenic from laundry aids may be contaminating rivers and drinking sources in the USA.
