IPA COPYRIGHT: ASHP The hypoglycemic sulfonylureas tolbutamide, chlorpropamide and glyburide (glibornuride) react with refluxing methanol to form the amine salts of the corresponding methyl sulfonylcarbamates. The compounds were characterized and their structures proved by synthesis.
