BIOSIS COPYRIGHT: BIOL ABS. The content of 13 heavy metals in needles of Pinus mugo subsp. mughus S c o p. and P. mugo, subsp. uncinata n t./ D o m i n were evaluated in eight peatbogs at different altitudes (490-1350 m): Se, As, Hg, S, Zn, Fe, Mn, Cu, B, Ni, Mo, Cd, and Pb. The data are summarized in a table and six figures. The levels of heavy metals were higher in the heavily polluted North Bohemia. The content of some metals were considerably high in older needles.
