Abstract
Seismic and gravity images of the major orebearing
districts and fields of the southeastern Argun' area are described in this paper on the basis of
results of mid-and large-scale areal gravity surveys acid seismic reflection common-depth-point
(CDP) investigations, executed for the first time in the eastern Transbaikal Region. This area
includes the southern Argun' uranium ore district, Klichkin polymetallic ore district, and the
Mulin ore field with the Noion-Tologoi polymetallic ore deposit. The images of regional
metallogenic zones are considered, as well. The geophysical images are the characteristic gravity
anomalies of a different order, and their combinations define the seismic heterogeneities of the
Earth's crust, and other geophysical features spatially corresponding to an ore district or
zone. Geophysical images of ore districts and fields are geologically interpreted by results of
the regional study of the Earth's crust to a depth of 12 km. Buried geological bodies and deep
tectonic structures correspond to these images. The tectonic structures are correlated in the
entire thickness of the Earth's crust studied. The genetic relation of ore mineralization with
the above-mentioned bodies and structures is assumed.
