Abstract
Choi et al. (2014a) reported that the concentrations of ergosterol, 1-3, 1-6 β glucan and a measure of viable fungi in dust were not related to allergic disease. I am sure that they are correct. However, as expressed, the data cannot be related to exposure and further two of the measurements are in my opinion not fit for purpose. Exposure to materials in settled dust from lead to asbestos to allergens is primarily related to dust loading. This article is protected by copyright. All rights reserved.
