Abstract
This report was a compendium of a large body of information currently available in the open literature and in government publications on organic compounds used as explosives and in propellant formulations. While a summary of synthetic processes was included, emphasis was focused on behavior and fate of these compounds in the environment and their biological effects and potential for animal and human health concerns. Physicochemical properties likely to be of value in making environmental calculations and decisions were also listed and discussed. (Author)
