Abstract
The Pb, Zn, Cd and Cr contents were detd. in samples of moss Sphagnum fallax, grass (Poaceae) and in the upper layer of the soil (0-20 cm) in 23 areas in the city. The air pollution with Zn and Pb was 12 times and with Cd 5 times higher in comparison with the control area. Soil contamination with Pb in 19 of 23 areas exceeded the std. allowable contents. The contents of Pb and Zn in the air, grass and soil were strongly correlated.
