Abstract
New pillared clay catalysts, vanadium supported on mixed tungsten-titanium-pillared clays, were prepared with various amounts of tungsten and then characterized and tested as catalysts in the selective catalytic reduction of NO by NH3. It was found that only the mixed WTi-pillared clay that exhibited a uniform distribution of WTi-pillars between the clay layers, then doped with a small amount of vanadium, showed better catalytic performance in the selective catalytic reduction of nitrogen oxide by ammonia.
