Abstract
Penkowa, M., & Hidalgo, J. J. (2003). Treatment with metallothionein prevents demyelination and axonal damage and increases oligodendrocyte precursors and tissue repair during experimental autoimmune encephalomyelitis. Neuroscience Research, 72(5):574-586. https://doi.org/10.1002/jnr.10615. The above article published online on 08 April 2003 in Wiley Online Library (wileyonlinelibrary.com) has been retracted by agreement between the primary author, Dr. Juan Hidalgo, the journal Editor-in-Chief, Eric M Prager, and Wiley Periodicals, Inc. This retraction has been agreed due to discrepancies in the type and number of animals used in experiments performed by the corresponding author, Milena Penkowa, identified during the course of investigations into Ms. Penkowa's research by the University of Copenhagen in 2012, rendering the data and conclusions drawn from them unreliable. The authors would like to apologize to The Journal of Neuroscience Research and their colleagues for any difficulties caused by the publication of this article. REFERENCE: Penkowa, M., & Hidalgo, J.
