A new naphthalene and a new dihydroisocoumarin were isolated from the New Zealand liverwort, Wettsteinia schusterana together with the previously known 3(R)-methyl-6-methoxy-7,8-methylenedioxydihydroisocoumarin. The structures of the two new compounds were established to be 1,2,3-trimethoxynaphthalene and 3(R)-methyl-5,6-dimethoxy-7,8-methylenedioxydihydroisocoumarin.
