Methylchloroform (MC) and tetrachloroethylene (TETRA) are two popular industrial solvents and degreasers. Their use, however, has caused fumes to be inhaled by industrial workers. MC is preferable to tetra because of its low microsomal mixed function oxidase (MFOS). The role that MC plays in suppressing the oxidation of tetra by mfos was studied.
