HEEP COPYRIGHT: BIOL ABS. The occurrence of sporophores of C. argillacea Fr. on a tip in East Cornwall is noted. The tip measures approximately 65 x 62 m and overlooks the River Tamar. It carries Calluna vulgaris as the dominant vegetation, and chlorotic seedlings of Betula spp., Pinus ssp. and Quercus spp. C. argillacea was well represented over most of the tip surface and several species of lichens were noted. Qualitative analysis of soil samples revealed the presence of As, Cu, and Sn.
