Aroclor® 1254 was not associated with fetotoxic effects in rabbits which received orally 1 or 10 mg/kg daily for the first 28 days of gestation or in rats which were dosed orally with 6.25 - 100 mg/kg/day from the 6th to 15th day of gestation. Doses of 12.5 to 50 mg/kg/day did induce abortions and were fetopathic to rabbits when treated for the first 28 days of gestation. The results indicated that the rabbit fetus was more sensitive to toxic effects of Aroclor® 1254 than the rat fetus.
